Cylinder Volume By Circumference is a calculator for finding the volume of a cylinder when you know the distance around the circular base rather than the radius or diameter. This tool exists because measuring the circumference with a flexible tape measure is often the easiest — and sometimes the only — way to measure round objects like tree trunks, sealed pipes, columns, and tanks.

The standard formula requires the radius, but this calculator converts circumference to radius automatically using r = C / (2π) before computing the volume. Alternatively, it applies the direct formula V = C²h / (4π).

Circumference is the natural measurement when you wrap a tape measure around a round object. You can't easily measure the radius of a sealed pipe, a tree trunk, or a column without cutting it open.
